Since January 2023, Jialong has been working in the Huo group as an undergraduate researcher.  His primary focus lies in the realm of polariton chemistry. This involves integrating concepts such as Time-Dependent Density-Functional Theory (TD-DFT) and quantum electrodynamics (QED) to study chemical reactions.

Looking towards the future, especially in the context of Ph.D. research, his key areas of include light-matter interaction, electronic structure, quantum and molecular dynamics simulations, and quantum and classical thermodynamics.
