Subhadip Mondal
smondal4@ur.rochester.edu

Subhadip completed his M.Sc. in Chemistry (2017–2019) from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. During this period, he worked under the guidance of Prof. Amalendu Chandra on the structure and dynamics of aqueous solutions using IR and Raman spectroscopy through combined molecular dynamics and electronic structure methods. Following his Masters, he joined Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur for his Ph.D. in Chemistry (2020–2025) under the supervision of Prof. Srihari Keshavamurthy. His doctoral research focused on understanding the modulation of reaction dynamics inside optical cavities under Vibrational Strong Coupling (VSC), with particular emphasis on how VSC influences intramolecular vibrational energy redistribution (IVR) pathways within single molecules.
In 2026, Subhadip joined the group of Prof. Frank Huo as a Postdoctoral Researcher. He will be working on the mechanistic understanding of VSC in the collective strong coupling regime, specifically, on the many body physics of VSC.
