Xinyang Li is from China. He attended Wuhan University, where he completed his B.S. in Chemistry. As an undergraduate, he gained experience in nanoscience and materials chemistry. He received M. S. in Chemistry at the University of Rochester in 2017. Xinyang joined the Huo group in the fall of 2015.

At present, Xinyang is studying nuclear tunnelling effects through Ab-Initio RPMD methods.
